Multi-piece artwork consisting of an encaustic painting on canvas, pair of shoes and wood shelf for shoes.
Canvas has black and white image of women sorting through a room strewn with papers; image is of Nuremberg files being organized. Next to the image are multiple lines of Hebrew script carved into the waxed surface. Canvas is surrounded by ash wood frame. Wax makes surface 3-dimensional.

Oral History Interview with Miriam Miklin, 1984 October 10
Interview covers life experiences from before WWII in Poland and through her entire experience in the Holocaust. Miriam and her two sisters were the only surviving members of their family. After the war they tried to go home, stopping at a town 30km away and sensing the hostility toward them they left. Later the same evening there was a pogrom where 60 young Jewish survivors were murdered. They were too afraid to go home after that and left for Czech.

One typed letter on International Committee of the Red Cross Letterhead to Frau Marie Lowenstein (Henry's mother) providing an update on Henry. The letterhead is in French and type is in German. Letter states that Henry is doing well and that they were able to pass along the message that his grandmother had passed away.
Walter Stoll, 1942-1947
Folder contains copies of transcribed letters from 1942-1947. Correspondence was saved by donor’s father, Max Stoll, and contains letters from family members in Germany and Theresienstadt. Collection also contains a poem written by the donor’s aunt, Thekla Stoll titled Encounter. The same poem was saved by Maria Lowenstein and is in the Lowenstein collection, B333.
